About the Instructors
Rev. Dr. Bruce M. Young has studied and read widely in the martial arts since 1988. He holds a Third Degree Black Belt in the Chung Do Kwan style of Tae Kwon Do. He is a Karuna Reiki Master, has taught qigong, the Sun style Tai Chi for Health forms since 2001, and the 64 Yang forms since 1998. He is a Senior Trainer for the Tai Chi for Health programs of Dr. Paul Lam, a certified instructor of Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes, Tai Chi for Osteoporosis, Tai Chi for Energy, and a member of the Tai Chi for Health Community board of directors. Dr. Young is a retired United Methodist Deacon, and former Maine Public School Superintendent.

Kitty Armstrong is a certified instructor of Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes, and Tai Chi for Osteoporosis, Tai Chi for Energy, a Reiki Master, a level 1 Karuna Reiki Practitioner, and a member of Tai Chi for Health Community. She has taught qigong and the Sun forms of Tai Chi for Health since 2003; and has been trained in the Depth of Tai Chi by Dr. Paul Lam. Kitty presently works as an HR Coordinator at the University of Maine System Office.
